The legal system is such trash. GitHub copilot can drag a case on forever since they have the bucks for lawyers. A small business would have been fried by now. With AI and robotics I hope people go with Meg Lee Chin of Pigface and a Universal Living Wage.

Do it and report back. If I hadn't used a unique variation of my name in the 2013 repo, I would have no idea where the LinkedIn messages were coming from.

I had code in (project you've heard of) for about five minutes a quarter of a century ago.  The email address is one I look at about once every other year; I wonder what I would find if I checked it now.

I'm considering relicensing a bunch of my repos from MIT to 0BSD, not because I want to make them easier to use by scrapers, but because I'm pretty sure I'm getting persistent LinkedIn scam spam from one widely-distributed corporate attribution list for a few days of some 2013 work that got picked up by a popular library.
