Some time ago, Yahoo! wouldn't let me change my password to 20 random characters, because it "contained my name".

It later found I had told Yahoo! when they bought another company's userbase that my name was "f u". The original password contained further sentiments to that effect. But years later, once fully integrated into Yahoo!'s account management service, I can't set a password with either an "f" or a "u" in it, to keep me nice and safe.

The logic continues to this day.
