YouTube offers 4x speed viewing now.. but it's a feature that's behind a premium paywall.. cocking hell.

First they tell their attention economy wage-slavers to make longer videos for more ad revenue.. and then they add a subscription-required fast-forward button..

I really despise that video/ID-verification requirement thing for "advanced features" such as "putting an hyperlink in a video description."  Once or maybe twice a year I have a need to host a video for something and I'll upload it and forget that I can't actually usefully link to the thing the video's about.  Apparently having an inoffensive but infrequently-used account for 15 years isn't enough to "Establish channel history" in lieu of handing Google biometrics or government IDs.

(I mean yes, okay, my publicly-listed videos literally come out to like one per year, but still.)
